Is a personal branding photoshoot a good investment for my business?
I get a lot of questions about personal branding photo shoots – why people come to me for them, the benefits involved, and what the shoot process is like for those less comfortable in front of the camera.
As a photographer who does a lot of personal branding photo shoots, and think they’re really underrated by a lot of business owners, I thought I’d give you some answers.
What is a personal branding shoot?
Pretty much as the name suggests, a personal branding shoot is a photo shoot that captures the people behind a brand, their brand values and some of the crafting processes.
And what’s the point?
Well, most brands focus on photographing their products and talking about their services. This is very important, of course, but ultimately you are your company’s greatest asset. You had passion, a vision, you made it a reality, and work damn hard every day to provide your customers with lovely things or lovely services.
Your customers, and prospective customers deserve to see that. More than this, people like to know who is behind your brand too. Especially us younger, millennial customers – we want to hear the brand story and the people who make our favourite products, not deal with faceless companies.
